The Palestinian flag was hoisted atop the highest flag tower in the country in the Abbasabad Cultural and Tourism Zone on the occasion of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People.
According to the Public Relations of Abbasabad Cultural and Tourism Zone; this ceremony was held as a symbol of the Islamic Republic of Iran's support for the Palestinian cause and to emphasize the resistance of the people of this land against the occupation by the Zionist regime.
The Flag Tower in the Abbasabad Cultural and Tourism Zone, located in Taleghani Park, with a height of 250 meters, is considered the highest flag tower in Iran, where the Palestinian flag measuring 42 by 24 meters was hoisted. It should be noted that in 1977, the United Nations designated November 29 as the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People.
This day marks the adoption of the resolution on the partition of Palestine in 1947, which led to the beginning of the occupation of Palestinian land. Previously, on July 4, 2024, the largest Palestinian flag was hoisted atop the Abbasabad Cultural and Tourism Zone in the presence of the families of the martyrs of the Aqsa Storm epic.
